Meet the Team
Charles R. Taylor, M.A., FAAA, CCC-A
Audiologist
Charles has been practicing audiology since 1973. He holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Charles received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Alabama and his master’s degree in audiology from the University of Alabama. He initiated the first rehabilitation audiology program in 1973 at the Tennessee Valley Rehabilitation Center and was the first private practice audiologist in North Central Alabama. In addition to an internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he worked with a variety of physicians including ENTs and otologists.
Sheila Penick
Patient Care Coordinator
Since 1994, Sheila has most likely been the one you’ve talked to when you call the Decatur office. She also has experience and training for in-office repairs. When she’s not helping patients, she enjoys spending time with her grandson and family.
Mickey Taylor
Patient Care Coordinator
Mickey received her undergraduate degree in secondary education and her master’s degree in guidance and counseling from the University of North Alabama. She gained experience as a counselor and program coordinator at the Tennessee Valley Rehabilitation Center. When she is not helping patients or her family, she enjoys time outside with her pets and other critters!
